Dear Friends of Hornsby & Company,

I’m pleased to announce that Hornsby & Company has been registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).

Over the past several years I have been working on development of a managed futures program to complement our ongoing activity in the energy risk management arena. I’m now offering qualified institutional and individual investors an alternative investment activity designed to provide low correlation with traditional assets like stocks and bonds while still seeking to achieve maximum growth of capital with defined risk limitations. The “Diversified Futures Trading Program (DFTP) is designed to trade a diversified portfolio of futures contracts focusing on: energy, treasury bonds, stock indexes and metals. My goal is to outperform commodity managers, as well as futures and hedge fund indexes through the use of a proactive management style. My motto is “protect your downside and don’t lose money!”

I believe that the timing is right for a managed futures program, as “alternative strategies” may provide a buffer for any underperformance in other asset classes such as stocks, bonds and real estate.

Investing in managed futures is not for everyone but the opportunity of capturing enhanced returns by being long or short select futures markets may prove to a proper diversification move for many portfolios. For more information on this managed futures activity please contact me for a formal offering brochure.

If you have any questions or wish to review our disclosure document, please call.
